Mục Đích Tối Hậu của Tra Tấn

Vừa qua, một bản tường trình dài (6.000) sáu ngàn trang giấy, thu thập trong 4 năm (2009-2013) dài truy nguyên từ những hồ sơ ghi chú và báo cáo của CIA, cơ quan quân sự Mỹ, do các "chuyên gia và quan chúc Mỹ" thực hiện điều tra . Nhưng bản tường trình của Thượng Viện này đã bị phủ tổng thống và cơ quan CIA ngăn chặn, chỉ có bản đúc kết tóm lược (executive summary) được công bố, nhưng cũng chỉ được công bố sau khi bị chính phủ Mỹ, CIA yêu cầu gạch bỏ nhiều chi tiết vì "lý do an ninh quốc gia và danh dự nước Mỹ"!

Nói ngắn gọn, bọn chính phủ đang tìm cách khoả lấp và tiếp tục che đậy và chối bỏ tội ác nhân danh :"quyền lợi an ninh quốc gia xã hội"

Bản đúc kết tóm lược này dày độ khoảng 600 trang, lỗ chỗ bôi đen, nhưng cũng tạm đủ để thấy những tội ác kinh tởm phi nhân tính của không chỉ các nhân viên trực tiếp tra tấn, mà của tất cả các quan chức chính phủ Mỹ và Âu Châu, những kẻ nắm rõ chi tiết và ra lệnh thực hiện tra tấn.

Sau khi tham khảo các bản tường trình, nhận định, và đặc biệt phản ứng và tuyên bố của chính phủ Mỹ, ông Paul Craig Roberts kết luận như sau:

Chương trình tra tấn chỉ có một mục đích  là tạo ra những "kẻ khủng bố tự khai nhận  tội" để chính đáng  hoá và củng cố "cuộc chiến hư cấu chống khủng bố". Cuộc "chiến tranh chống khủng bố" là một vỏ bọc cho một chủ trương bí mật mà quần chúng Mỹ (nếu biết) sẽ phản đối. Điều này tự nó đã gây kinh hãi. Và kinh hãi hơn nữa, chương trình tra tấn cho thấy rằng không một kẻ nào trong chính phủ Mỹ và Âu châu, những kẻ biết về và tham dự vào chương trình tra tấn này có một tí nhân bản, trung trực, từ tâm, và đạo lý. Bọn họ là đám người tàn độc, và những kẻ chính tay hành xử tra tấn đã thích thú sự đau đớn và quằn quại mà chúng tạo ra trên thân thể người ta. Điều biệt lệ duy nhất về nước Mỹ chính là mức độ của sự tàn độc  trú ngụ ở thủ đô Washington DC
 
Here’s my two cents: One purpose of the torture program was to produce self-incriminated “terrorists” to justify and feed the hoax “war on terror.” The “war on terror” was public cover for secret agendas that the American people would have rejected. This is disturbing enough. Even more disturbing, the torture program shows that no one in the US and European governments who knew of the program and participated in torture has an ounce of humanity, integrity, compassion, and morality. They are evil people, and the ones who inflicted the torture enjoyed the pain and suffering that they inflicted on others.
The only exceptional thing about the US is the extent of the evil that resides in Washington, D.C.

The CIA even tortured its own informers. Two American psychologists who designed the torture program were paid $81 million.

Instead of apologizing for the CIA’s destruction of our country’s reputation, CIA director John Brennan defended the policy and claimed it helped to protect us from terrorists.
