The Rule of Power. Paypal Penalties for “Those Guilty of Misinformation”

The Rule of Power. Paypal Penalties for “Those Guilty of Misinformation”

Last week PayPal, an online service for making and receiving payments, announced that at PayPal’s “sole discretion” $2,500 would be seized from accounts of those PayPal decided were guilty of spreading misinformation.  “Misinformation” is whatever some speech control office at PayPal doesn’t like or dissent from official narratives.  In other words, PayPal announced a policy of thought control as described in George Orwell’s 1984. See this and this.

Moreover, $2,500 would be seized for each bit of misinformation, apparently even for errors resulting from being misinformed or from misunderstanding.  If an account holder spreads misinformation twice, $5,000 is seized; ten bits of misinformation costs the account holder $25,000.  Since the definition of misinformation is at PayPal’s sole discretion, it wouldn’t be long before PayPal, faced with missing its quarterly expected profits, would jack up its earnings by seizing people’s accounts.

It is unclear how a person spreads “misinformation” on a payments mechanism.  Does it mean that “spreading misinformation” means donating to an organization that challenges official narratives?  Does it mean that PayPal would have an army of employees watching social media comments of account holders and reading their emails?

The first seizure was in England where the robbed account was that of the Free Speech Union.  It caused an uproar and protests from Members of Parliament and PayPal’s former president, and a couple of days later PayPal said that PayPal’s announcement that it was going to seize money from customers’ accounts for spreading misinformation was itself misinformation. See this.

Think about this for a moment.  If PayPal can seize $2,500 from your account because some woke freak in PayPal’s Thought Control Police Force finds your opinion “offensive,” so can your bank, your 401k, your IRA, your investment account.  Your credit card company can bill you $2,500 for each disapproved statement and turn your account over to bill collectors when you don’t pay.  Maybe your car and house will be seized.  Once central banks impose digital money on their insouciant populations, people can be robbed at will by every approved party for every imaginable offense.

A Fish Rots From the Head

Where did PayPal get the idea that it can seize the money of people whose statements it disapproves?  Obviously, they got it from the US government.  The US government has seized people’s property because the property “facilitated a crime,” which means that a crime took place on the property by someone, not necessarily the owner (The Tyranny of Good Intentions by Paul Craig Roberts).  The US government seized Venezuela’s gold because it disapproved of Venezuela’s politics.  The US government seized Russia’s central bank reserves when Russia intervened in Ukraine to protect the Russian population of former Russian territory.  US lawmakers want to punish Saudi Arabia for tending to its own interest instead of Washington’s (see this).  The California government wants to steal the medical licenses of doctors who ignored medical protocols designed to serve Big Pharma’s profits and instead saved their patients’ lives (see this).

It should be obvious that Western Civilization no longer exists.  A civilization is defined by its values, such as free speech, and when those values are no longer honored, the civilization no longer exists.

Think about what the US government has done to Julian Assange.  His decade long incarceration in the absence of charges, trial, and conviction violates all legal principles that comprise our constitutional protections from arbitrary and unjust treatment by government.  It shows how far gone we are that Assange’s illegal and unconstitutional treatment continues year after year and produces no outrage from Congress, media, law schools, bar organizations, courts, or the American population.  The official narrative is that he is a Russian spy and we have to get him at all cost, including the establishment of precedents that destroy our security from arbitrary and ruthless oppression.  The assertion that Assange is a Russian spy is an intentional lie, and for the sake of supporting a lie we are depriving ourselves of our constitutional protections.

The US government’s policy of seizing whoever’s property it wants to seize is spreading worldwide.  If the home of democracy and the rule of law can arbitrarily do as it likes, so can the South African government which says it is considering seizing the farms of white people without compensation (see this). In other words, there is no longer a rule of law. There is a rule of power.

The rule of power is what the American and European peoples are up against, and they seem very slow to realize it.

The Threat of Nuclear War and the Distinct Possibility of Cyber and Biological War?

By: Gary D. Barnett

“The survivors (of a nuclear war) would envy the dead.”

 ~ Nikita Khrushchev

There is no certainty of a global nuclear war, but given the players involved, there is the possibility. Nuclear war has been constantly threatened by insane rulers, mostly in the U.S., for many decades, but other than the abhorrent and murderous slaughter of innocents in Japan at the hands of the U.S. war machine, no nuclear attacks have been forthcoming since. There is good reason for this, but I fear few take into consideration the complete lunacy and deranged minds of totalitarian-minded rulers. They thrive on propaganda, sabre rattling, and threats, as if this is a harmless political game, but it would take only one idiot to start an all-out nuclear exchange. That would be devastating to all on earth, so why is there so much antagonistic threatening of nuclear war among the empirical nation states?

The absolute insanity of such irresponsible behavior belies all logic, but since when has logic or reason held a place among nation states and the ruling class? In my opinion, no one could want or purposely pursue nuclear war; not because of the risk to normal people of course, but because it would know few if any bounds, and put at risk the very murderers who would perpetrate such a sadistic and evil plot in the first place. The ruling class are unmistakable cowards who obviously want to rule over others, but not at the expense of their own lives. This may be the only saving grace for the common man, at least concerning nuclear war, as those who seek war do so with the knowledge that others and the children of others will die in their place, and with nuclear war, there is no guarantee of that outcome.

Most of these lowlifes, at least the highest ranking of them in the ruling class and politics, have built special bunkers for themselves in the event of all out war, but what would be left to rule after total annihilation? What pleasure would they gain if all was destroyed and poisoned, and all economic systems and infrastructure were left in shambles, and humanity itself obliterated? This is why all out nuclear war is not likely, or at least not desired, by the scum who hold major positions of power. Killing off much of mankind is craved by technocrats, political scum, eugenic monsters, and genocidal psychopaths, but not at the expense or possibility of harm to themselves, as these skulking parasites cannot rule a society that has lost all, is desperate, and has nothing else to lose. The powerful want compliant and obedient subjects who worship the state, and look to it for safety and sustenance. Nuclear war would probably change that slave-like relationship between the powerful and the masses, and cause large-scale dissent instead of a pathetic submissive citizenry.

But other types of war can be used to not only kill off the ‘undesirable,’ the dissenters, and the non-conforming freedom seekers, but do so in a manner that can be used to propagandize the masses even further, thereby keeping them acquiescent to their masters. By blaming death and destruction on fake ‘viruses,’ on food and energy shortages, and on so-called rogue states and dictators, the people will most assuredly go along with the tyranny just as they always have. This would allow democide and genocide to continue due to purposely planned agendas, including selling the idea that bioweapon injections are necessary, ‘safe, and effective,’ causing death to millions or even billions over time. The state would lay false blame of course, but continue to manufacture fabricated threats claimed to be natural or caused by some feigned foreign enemy state.

There are continuous ‘news’ stories coming from the mainstream and alternative sites claiming that cyber war is constantly active or being pursued by some of the countries not in favor with the West, but in most all these circumstances, this is just a set-up for the gullible masses, so that when their host country actually commits cyber warfare against its own population, all responsibility will be shifted to others, and the people will likely accept this lie without question. For Americans, cyber war will probably become reality, but it is doubtful that it will be an attack by a foreign state like Russia, China, or Iran, but will be an inside job at the hands of U.S. ‘intelligence’ and enforcement services, and high government officials, blamed on a claimed enemy state. I do not believe this to be only a possibility, but more a certainty. Many nefarious agendas can be achieved in any operation of this type, because it can allow for energy services to be shut down, food supply and distribution to be dramatically altered or worse, communication system disruption, financial system breakdowns; all meant to allow total control over people. In addition, this could be targeted to any specific area, or could be broad-based, depending on the particular agendas sought.

The same of course could happen in any biological war scenario, where the host state could affect more harm and death by intentionally releasing poisonous agents, new and even more dangerous bioweapon injections and boosters, spraying additional heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and deadly biologic agents in targeted areas; all blamed on alleged enemies of the state. These kinds of events stoke extreme nationalism, whereby the general populace will back any number of aggressive responses by the state and its murderous enforcement arms made up of police and military order takers.

More and more are beginning to distrust the real rulers and their government pawns, but few are actually doing anything of value to actively resist state efforts to control them. Part of this is due to a purposeful lifting of certain restrictions evident in the past two-and-a-half years; a trick to fool the naïve herd into believing that the agenda of world control is lessening, when in reality, it is going ahead full steam. Because this dynamic of discontent is evident, the ruling class is aware that other avenues of terror and confusion are necessary in order to quell any possible resistance by the masses. This demands that the state continue to create more false flag events, and instill great fear into the ‘public’ mind, so that mass compliance will once again rear its ugly head.

This winter, especially after this next corrupt and totally worthless election cycle in November is over, will most likely bring much more chaos, planned state abuse of the people, dangerous false flag events, fearmongering, more sickness and death, and staged terror meant only to create extreme fear.

The most terroristic state by far in the world today is the United States, as it is still the head of the snake concerning aggression and war, nuclear weapons, bioweapon production, violent coups, and regime change control; regardless of any propaganda or rhetoric to the contrary. There are many bad actors worldwide, as this fake ‘virus’ and horrendous response by virtually all countries exposed, but the U.S. is still the most dangerous enemy of the world’s population.

So, what is the answer to this dilemma we face? I cannot give you that information, because each and every one of us is not only different, but has to come to the truth, accept it, and act on that knowledge as an individual; whether alone or with a collective of other individuals working together. There is no political answer, because politics and governments that were voluntarily accepted are what got us here in the first place. Any ruling system existence will necessarily eliminate freedom, so voting for another to rule over you (and others) can only exacerbate the tyranny, and can never support liberty. The essence of this thinking is that all who desire freedom must take it; not ask for it. That means taking full responsibility for self, without regard for the risk of doing so. Yes, this is difficult, but life is difficult, especially when one survives only by allowing others to rule and control him in what will always be a life as an indentured servant of the state.

“Politically speaking, tribal nationalism [patriotism] always insists that its own people are surrounded by ‘a world of enemies’ – ‘one against all’ – and that a fundamental difference exists between this people and all others. It claims its people to be unique, individual, incompatible with all others, and denies theoretically the very possibility of a common mankind long before it is used to destroy the humanity of man.”

The U.S. Is Leading the World Into the Abyss

By Edward Curtin

October 10, 2022

A few years after WW I, the poet T.S. Eliot opened his famous poem “The Wasteland” with these words: “April is the cruelest month … “  I think he may be wrong, for this October may be the cruelest month of all, followed by November.  Unprecedented.  You can hear the clicking and grating of spades if your antennae are attuned.

We are on the brink of ominous events created by the U.S. war against Russia.  Yet so many people prefer to turn away and swallow the lies that the U.S. wants peace and not war and is the aggrieved party in the crisis.

A friend of mine, who is constantly charging me with having turned right-wing because of my writing that accuses many traditional liberal/leftists of buying the national security state’s propaganda on the JFK assassination, “9/11,” Syria, Ukraine, Covid-19, censorship, the “New” Cold War, etc., and whose go-to news sources are The Guardian, CNN, The New York Times, NPR, ABC, seems oblivious to the fact that right and left have become useless terms and that these media are all mouthpieces for the CIA and their intelligence allies in the new Cold War; that the so-called right and left are joined at the hip with their obsession with Pax Americana.

There are no right and left anymore; there are only free and independent voices or those of the caged parrots repeating what they have been taught to say:

“Polly wants a war!”  “Polly wants a war.”

I am afraid that I will never convince this dear friend otherwise and I find that depressing.  Yet I know such views are shared by millions of others and that even if nuclear war breaks out their minds will not change.  Propaganda runs very, very deep into their psyches, and they desperately want to believe.  Hitler said it clearly in Mein Kampf:

The masses … are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

Hitler learned so much about “manufacturing consent” from his American teachers Edward Bernays, Walter Lippmann, et al., who accomplished so much brainwashing of the American people.  They were all masters of the lie and millions continue to believe their followers.

If nuclear weapons are again used (and everyone knows the only country to have used them), these believers will blame their use on Russia, even though Russia has made it very clear that it would only resort to such weapons if the country’s existence were threatened, while the U.S. continues affirming its right to preemptively use nuclear weapons when it so chooses.

And even if nuclear weapons are not used, the recent sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines and the bombing of the Crimean Bridge, both clearly the work of U.S./NATO/Ukrainian forces, have raised the ante considerably.  The door to hell has just been opened wider, and I suspect not by accident, as the U.S. elections approach.

In his recent television talk, Vladimir Putin made Russia’s nuclear position very clear, mentioning nuclear weapons only in the context of Western threats of using them, as Moon of Alabama reported.

Putin said:

They [the U.S./NATO/Ukraine] have even resorted to the nuclear blackmail. I am referring not only to the Western-encouraged shelling of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, which poses a threat of a nuclear disaster, but also to the statements made by some high-ranking representatives of the leading NATO countries on the possibility and admissibility of using weapons of mass destruction – nuclear weapons – against Russia.

I would like to remind those who make such statements regarding Russia that our country has different types of weapons as well, and some of them are more modern than the weapons NATO countries have. In the event of a threat to the territorial integrity of our country and to defend Russia and our people, we will certainly make use of all weapon systems available to us. This is not a bluff.

The citizens of Russia can rest assured that the territorial integrity of our Motherland, our independence and freedom will be defended – I repeat – by all the systems available to us. Those who are using nuclear blackmail against us should know that the wind rose can turn around.

When the long-planned U.S. war against Russia, so obvious to anyone who sees past the propagandist headlines and studies the matter, soon explodes into full-scale open war for all to see in horror, as it will, these true believers will dig in their heels even more.  They will find new reasons to justify their faith, and it is akin to religious faith.  The infamous Rand Corporation’s 2019 report cited above, “Overextending and Unbalancing Russia,” cites the following as part of the war process, as summarized in the Strategic Culture article, but it will have no impact on the faithful believers:

  • Providing lethal military aid to Ukraine
  • Mobilizing European NATO members
  • Imposing deeper trade and economic sanctions
  • Increasing U.S. energy production for export to Europe
  • Expanding Europe’s import infrastructure to receive U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies

I keep thinking of the U.S. false flag Gulf of Tonkin “incident” in 1964 and how effective that was in convincing the gullible population and the complicit U.S. Congress – by a vote of 88 to 2 in the Senate and 414 to 0 in the House of Representatives (try to imagine such criminals) – that U.S. destroyers were innocently attacked by the North Vietnamese and that Lyndon Johnson should be given the authority to respond to repel “communist aggression,” which, of course, he did by bombing North Vietnam and sending 500,000 troops to savagely destroy Vietnam and Vietnamese nearly 9,000 miles from the United States.  Johnson simply lied to wage war and Biden is doing the same today.  But far too many people love their leaders’ lies because it allows them to secretly feel justified in the lies they themselves tell in personal matters.  And what may be true of the distant past, can’t be true today.

In 1965, the folk singer Tom Paxton put Johnson’s lies to music with “Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation.”  In those days, art was used as a weapon against U.S. propaganda.

Today we can ask: Where have all the artists gone?

We know that the U.S. has, for the time being, abandoned sending hundreds of thousands of troops into another country; now it is drones, air warfare, special forces, the CIA, mercenaries, terrorists, and intermediaries such as the Ukrainian conscripts, Azov Nazis, and NATO surrogates.  Such was the lesson of Vietnam when the draft led to massive protests and resistance.  Now war is waged less obviously and the propaganda is more extensive and constant as a result of digital media.

There are many such examples of U.S. treachery, most notably the attacks of September 11, 2001, but such history is only open to those who take it upon themselves to investigate.

Now there is the corrupt Ukrainian U.S. puppet government, which is nearly 6,000 miles from the United States, and must be defended from Russian “aggression,” just like the corrupt South Vietnamese U.S. puppet government was.

To those who buy the mass media propaganda, I ask: Why is the U.S.A. always fighting to kill people so far from its shores?

Doesn’t it sound a bit odd that our wonderful leaders destroyed Libya, Vietnam, Serbia, the Philippines, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc., countries so far away, and now that Russia defends itself from U.S./NATO encroachment a few miles from its borders, it is accused of being the evil aggressors and Vladimir Putin called another Hitler like all the leaders of the countries we attacked?

Have you completely lost your ability to think?  Or do you, like little children, actually believe the disembodied newsreaders who deliver your prepackaged television propaganda?

If I ask such an obvious question, does that make me a “right-winger”?

If I state two facts: that Donald Trump – whom I consider despicable and part of the divide and conquer game as Biden’s flip side, and have said so – did not start a war against Russia and that Russia-gate was a Democratic propaganda stunt and is false, does that make me a right-winger?  My friend would say so. Do telling facts define your political allegiances, whether they be facts about Republicans or Democrats?

No.  I will tell you what it makes me: A disgusted human being sickened by all the lies and people’s gullibility after decades of evidence that should have awakened them to the truth about all these politicians and the war against Russia underway.  I have lost patience with it.  For decades I have been writing about such propaganda to no avail.  Yes, those who tended to agree with me might have moved a little closer to my arguments, but the vast majority have not budged an iota.

I wish it were different. It is my desire. Eduardo Galeano, the Uruguayan sage of the Americas, who knew what was up and what was down when he wrote Upside Down: A Primer for the Looking-Glass World in 1998, said this about Desire:

A man found Aladdin’s lamp lying around. Since he was a big reader, the man recognized it and rubbed it right away. The genie appeared, bowed deeply, and said, ‘At your service master. Your wish is my command. But there will be only one wish.

Since he was a good boy, the man said, ‘I wish for my dead mother to be brought back.’

The genie made a face. ‘I’m sorry, master, but that wish is impossible. Make another.’

Since he was a nice guy, the man said, ‘I wish the world would stop spending money to kill people.’

The genie swallowed. ‘Uhh … What did you say your mother’s name was?’

The desire for peace and security is a universal dream.  Sometimes it is hidden in people’s hearts because they have swallowed the lies of the evil ones who wish to wage war against those who insist on security for their country, as Russians are demanding today.

It is very frustrating to try to wake people out of their manufactured consent and the insouciance that follows as we are being led into the abyss.

But I will not stop trying.  Galeano did not.  He left us these words of universal resistance:

We shall be compatriots and contemporaries of all who have a yearning for justice and beauty, no matter where they were born or when they lived, because the borders of geography and time shall cease to exist.

We must save the world before it is too late.
